I wish that Brad will let a christian co-author a book with him about the importance of giving - when & while being a business owner. Please let this author teach you - without starting to praying to him. His insight is clear, his mission fairly clear - to help small businesses do what many growth entrepreneurs have long been doing; actively caretaking the responsibility of being a business owner in the community.
This book was a disappointment. Ultimately, this book is an advertisement for the author and his business, not a resource for you. Unfortunately, it is not, and worse, when it comes down to practical advice, this book really was full of fluff. The book takes an inordinate amount of space for the author to explain how great he is and how successful he has been.
does this sound like someone like myself who is looking to learn about franchising or does this sounds like a professional reviewer who had incentive to provide a good review of the book. I did not really see that this was part of a series called, "Instant Success", which should have been my first warning to steer clear. I hope the author enjoys the $11 I spent because he won't be seeing any other money from me.By the way, do you really think the other two reviews for this book are from independent readers who wanted to read the book for the same reason you would. When you read these other reviews, they read just like the back cover of the book. Read them and think to yourself. The excerpt re: Howard Johnson's was interesting and I thought the rest of the book would be too.
Unless you are dealing with pudding or coffee, "Instant Success" is a complete oxymoron (kind of like me for buying this book). My mistake. Terrible. The book was flimsy -- tiny, tiny - and about the size of Reader's Digest. The problem is that his story is not that interesting and it is written like a 15-year old would write about himself.
